A digital loyalty card for your beauty, nail or lash salon

Fidelia gives your salon a loyalty card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet: the client pays at reception, you scan the pass, and after a set number of infills, refills or facials a treat is waiting.

By The Fidelia team

Beauty is a rhythm business. Gel nails need an infill every two to three weeks, lash extensions a refill every three to four, waxing every four to six, facials monthly. A client on that rhythm is worth a lot over a year, and she can switch salons at any appointment, especially when the salon down the street has a slot tomorrow and you don’t. A loyalty card rewards the rhythm itself, so the next booking stays with you.

What to reward, and after how many stamps?

Rewards that add to a treatment feel more luxurious than a discount, and they cost you little.

  • 6Free nail art on your next infillAbout three months for a client on a 2–3 week rhythm.
  • 5Free brow tint or lash liftFor lash clients after five refills.
  • 8Free hand or foot treatmentAdds 15 minutes, feels like a spa extra.
  • 6A skincare product from your shelfCosts you the purchase price only.

The cost is product plus time. Example: an infill costs 550 kr. Free nail art takes ten extra minutes and a few kronor of product. Six infills bring in 3,300 kr; even if you value those ten minutes at 100 kr, the reward is about 3 % of what the client spent. A brow tint after five lash refills at 600 kr each costs maybe 15 kr in product and ten minutes. These are example figures.

Cards can have between 3 and 30 stamps; five to eight fits most beauty services. Changing the number affects only new cards.

Which card type fits a beauty salon?

Beauty salons get the most out of Pro’s card types, because the Swedish salon world already uses packages and memberships.

A pack is the classic treatment package: five facials or six waxing sessions paid up front. Staff tap “Activate” once paid, then “Use 1” per visit. A membership can give a discount percentage and a perk, valid for 1 to 24 months, activated by staff after payment; staff “Check in” each visit and “Renew” when it expires. VIP levels, up to three, can be based on visits and show on the pass and on the scanner. With Pro you can run several cards at once, for example a nail stamp card and a facial pack.

Packs and prepaid balances mean you’re holding the client’s money. Ask your accountant how to book them.

How does stamping work during the rush?

The moment is payment at reception after the treatment. The client pays by card or Swish, holds up her phone, and the scanner shows “+1” and “Linnea · 4/6”. If therapists take payment in their own room, each one can scan from her own phone after an e-mail invite; the staff role only opens the scanner.

  • Reception tablet: log it in with a PIN so whoever is on the desk can scan.
  • Two treatments, one visit: one stamp per visit is the simplest rule. The cooldown (5 minutes by default) stops a card being stamped twice by accident.
  • Wrong client: the owner or a manager corrects the card in the dashboard with Adjust stamps; the reason and who made the change are logged.
  • Reward day: the pass turns to “reward ready” with a lock-screen notification. At the desk, “Claim + add today’s stamp” gives the reward and counts today’s visit on card 2.

The scanner needs Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Seasonal and occasion ideas

  • Alla hjärtans dag (14 February): couples’ treatments and gift balances.
  • Mors dag (last Sunday in May): packs or prepaid balances as presents.
  • Studenten and wedding season (May to September): nails, lashes and brows booked weeks ahead.
  • Summer: pedicures and sandal-season feet.
  • December: julfest and New Year’s Eve nails. Fill the last slots early.
  • January: quieter weeks. A good time for a pack offer.

What to send by push or e-mail

Push messages (Pro) land on the client’s lock screen. Examples:

  • Example · title: “Last-minute slot tomorrow 10:00” · message: “A gel infill slot just opened. Book in the usual way and mention this message.”
  • Example · title: “Mors dag gift idea” · message: “Give a facial pack or a balance on her card. Ask at the reception before Sunday.”
  • Example · title: “New lash lift in stock” · message: “Our new lift and tint lasts longer. Ask about it at your next refill.”

An e-mail with your new nail colours or skincare arrivals, sent from your salon’s address with photos, works once a month at most; the e-mail editor has templates and can write with AI. The “not seen in 30 days” audience fits nails and lashes, where a month without a visit is a real gap. Only clients who opted in to news receive messages.

Google review invites help new salons: one e-mail after a client’s first visit, on any plan while billing is active, never tied to a reward.

Common objections

“My booking app has loyalty built in.” If you’re happy with it, keep it. Fidelia’s card lives in the client’s wallet, sends lock-screen messages, and doesn’t change if you change booking tool.

“Clients already prepay packages on paper.” A pack card shows them how many sessions are left, on their phone, and you stop keeping a notebook. A manager can carry over existing sessions by correcting the card, with a reason noted.

“My clients want privacy.” Fidelia collects only a first name and an e-mail. A manager can delete a client on request.

“I’m a one-woman salon.” That’s fine. One phone, one scanner, the same card.

What does it cost?

Essential costs 299 kr a month for one salon with a stamp card, unlimited clients and scans. Most beauty salons choose Pro at 599 kr a month, because packs, memberships, prepaid balances, VIP levels, push messages and e-mails are all Pro. Pro starts with a 14-day free trial, and all prices are excl. VAT.

Questions

Can I sell a package of 5 facials paid in advance?

Yes, with a pack card on Pro. The card says “Not active yet · pay at the counter” until staff tap “Activate”, then each visit is a “Use 1”. Because you hold the client's money, check the rules with your accountant.

My booking app already has loyalty points. Why add Fidelia?

Booking-app loyalty lives inside that app. Fidelia's card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and works whatever booking tool you use, now or later.

Can a client give a prepaid balance as a present?

On Pro, a prepaid card lets a customer top up a balance that staff charge against. Using it as a gift card can fall under gift-card or e-money rules, so check with your accountant first.

Do you collect clients' birthdays or phone numbers?

No. Clients give only a first name and an e-mail address, plus an optional tick to receive your news.
