Fix a stamp given by mistake

An owner or manager can correct a card's stamp count from the Customers page at any time. Every correction is saved in the history with the reason and who made it.

A stamp given by mistake is easy to fix. The owner or a manager sets the right number of stamps from the dashboard, and the correction stays visible in the customer’s history.

How do I correct a card?

  1. Open Customers and select the customer. Find them by first name.
  2. Press Adjust stamps. On other card types the button is named after the card: Correct points (points), Correct balance (cashback and prepaid), Correct items left (pack) or Change membership (membership).
  3. Set the number of Stamps on the card, using One stamp less or One stamp more.
  4. Give a Reason. Quick reasons include “Forgot to stamp”, “Mistake” and “Goodwill”.
  5. Press Save change.

If the new number fills the card, the reward becomes ready. If you lower a full card, the reward is no longer ready.

Good habits

Check the customer’s first name and progress on the confirmation screen right after each scan, so a wrong scan is caught while the customer is still at the counter. See stamping a customer for the full flow.

Questions

Is a corrected stamp deleted from the history?

No. Fidelia never deletes anything. A correction is written as a new entry, so the history still shows what happened.

Who can fix a stamp count?

Owners and managers, never staff. Open the customer in Customers and use Adjust stamps. A reason is required and it is saved in the history with your name.

Does a correction start the cooldown?

No. Stamps corrected by the owner do not start the cooldown between two stamps.
