Stamping takes one scan. The customer shows their Fidelia card from the wallet, you point the phone at it, and a stamp appears. There is nothing to type and no extra app to install for the customer.
How do I stamp a card?
- On your phone or tablet, sign in and open the scanner. Owners and managers choose Open scanner in the dashboard menu; staff sign in and land on the scanner directly.
- Allow the camera when your browser asks.
- Ask the customer to open their Fidelia card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- Hold the camera on the card’s QR code. The screen reads Point at the customer’s card.
- A large +1 appears, with the customer’s first name and progress, like “Card 3 · 4/10”, so you can greet them. The phone vibrates and plays a sound.
- The scanner returns to the camera by itself after a moment, or when you tap the screen.
The customer’s card updates on their phone within seconds.
What happens when the card is full?
The last stamp shows Card full! Reward next visit with the reward name. Next time the customer comes in, the scanner shows the reward instead of a new stamp. See giving a reward.
What if I stamped by mistake?
An owner or manager can correct the stamp count afterwards. See fixing a stamp.
What can stop a stamp?
- Already stamped: the same card was stamped a moment ago. See why a scan is refused.
- No connection: check Wi-Fi or mobile data, then scan again.
- Loyalty card paused: the card is not published. Publish it in the dashboard.
- Scanning paused: the shop’s subscription has ended. The owner can renew it in the dashboard.
- Session expired: log in again.
If the camera itself will not start, see camera won’t open.
Who can scan?
Anyone you add to the team. Invite your team so each person has their own login. Staff only see the scanner, not your customers or stats.
