On Android, the card is added to Google Wallet from the shop’s sign-up page. Without a wallet, you get a web card instead, which works at the counter in the same way.
How do I add the card to Google Wallet?
- Scan the shop’s QR code with your phone camera and open the link. If the shop shared a link instead, open it in your browser.
- If the shop has several cards, tap the one you want on Choose your card.
- Enter your First name and your Email, then tap Next.
- On Notifications, tick the box if you want to hear about offers from the shop. It is optional.
- Tap Add to Google Wallet and confirm in Google Wallet.
You see Welcome and your card is in your wallet. If it did not open, tap Open my card.
What if I have no wallet?
The page only offers a wallet button when your device can use one. On a computer, or any device that is not a recognised iPhone or Android phone, the button reads Get my card and you get a web card.
The web card shows:
- your stamps, or the balance for other card types
- a QR code and a card number, under “Show this code at the counter”
- a Reward ready badge when you can claim your reward
Staff scan that QR code with their phone, exactly as they would from a wallet. The page refreshes by itself while it is open, so your new stamp appears shortly after the scan.
What if something goes wrong?
- This email already has this card. One card per e-mail address. Ask the staff to add it to your phone again.
- Too many sign-ups right now. Wait a few minutes and retry.
- Card not available. The link is not active. Ask the staff for a new QR code.
