On an iPhone, the card is added to Apple Wallet from the shop’s sign-up page. The whole thing takes less than a minute and is free for the customer.
How do I add the card?
- Open the iPhone camera and point it at the shop’s QR code (on the counter stand or a flyer). Tap the link that appears. If the shop shared a link instead, open it in Safari.
- If the shop has several cards, the page first shows Choose your card. Tap the one you want.
- Enter your First name and your Email, then tap Next.
- On the second step, Notifications, you can tick the box if you want your phone to notify you of offers and surprises from the shop. It is optional.
- Tap Add to Apple Wallet, then Add in the top right corner of the preview that Apple shows.
You land on Welcome with your card ready. If Wallet did not open, tap Open my card to see your card on the web and try again.
How do I use the card?
Open Apple Wallet and show the card at the counter. The staff scan it with their phone and your stamp is added. The card updates by itself, and Wallet shows a message when a stamp arrives.
When you have enough stamps, the card says that your reward is ready. Show it at the counter to claim it.
What if something goes wrong?
- This email already has this card. Each e-mail address can hold one card per shop. Ask the staff to add it to your phone again.
- Too many sign-ups right now. Wait a few minutes and try again.
- You are offline. Stamping and sign-up need an internet connection. Check your connection and retry.
- You deleted the pass. The staff can add it back with the same stamps. See also adding a card on Android if a family member uses another phone.
Shops can read more about how the card works on the Wallet card page.
